Quilts quilts quilts

All 12th scale dollhouse miniature quilts are currently available for $30-35.00 at Little Time Wasters right now. Each quilt is suitable for a 12th scale double bed and is hand sewn patchwork. I cut out each tiny patch individually. I'm currently obsessed with hexagons and diamonds. It's a fiddly job, but I enjoy it.

Pretty Pink Dollhouse Miniature Quilt

I'm finding it tough to make miniature food while caring for a new-born. It's not a craft you can easily pick up and put down at a moment's notice when your little one decides he desperately needs a feed/change/cuddle right NOW! Babies are impatient little things.

But when I get the chance I like to keep my fingers busy even if it is for 5 minute chunks of time. So here is my latest dollhouse miniature quilt. I started made most of this while still pregnant, but recently completed it and have made it available in my Etsy shop.

The whole quilt measures 7.5" x 7" (18.75 x 17.5cm) and fits a 12th scale double bed. Each diamond patch measures 3/4" in length and 1/2" in width. It's not hexagons for once!

Autumn miniature quilt

So it's not quite autumn yet, but I really enjoy autumnal colours, so that was the theme for my latest dollhouse miniature quilt in 12th scale. Believe it or not, I started making this quilt last summer, but then being pregnant and having a serious deadline to finish my home renovations got in the way. But here it is at last, finished and for sale!
I'm back to English paper piecing as although fiddly, I do find it quite relaxing. I guess you'd call it therapeutic! Each little hexagon side measures 1/4 inch. The whole quilt measures 7" x 6.75" (16.9cm) and fits a 12th scale double bed.

Little Time Wasters is back!

After a couple of months hiatus, Little Time Wasters is back. I've reopened the Etsy shop as I now feel life is settled enough that I can at least get to the post office once a week. Hurrah! So swing on by to see what cute miniatures are to be found. I hope to add new stock eventually, assuming the little one will ever take a nap of more than 30 minutes.

Oh yes, did I mention, I had a baby! He took his sweet time and didn't arrive until mid January in the end, all 9lbs 15.5oz of him. He didn't give his mother an easy time and but I'm starting to feel vaguely normal now. He's very healthy and continues to grow at an astonishing pace. He won't be a miniature for very much longer.
