I made a couple of pot stands for my mother-in-law a while back.
I love doing these mini-projects as unlike most of my sewing projects, they are a very quick sew. They're mostly machine sewed, although I do finish of the binding by hand to keep it neat. Still, you could easily complete them both within a couple of hours even if you did hand sew the binding. Plus I used up a few pieces of scrap fabric, which is a double win as I'm incapable of throwing little scraps away. Hopefully these pot stands will look very fitting in my mother-in-law's country kitchen.
