Breakfast is the best meal of the day...

...and that goes for your dolls too! Here are my latest breakfast themed dollhouse miniatures. I would be pretty pleased if someone brought me one of these to enjoy in the morning. I bet your dolls would too.

Told you I'd get busy!

I made good use of my recent delivery of ceramic dishes, and here are the results:

It's all very civilised dining in my 12th scale world right now! Next project: turkey! It's coming up to that time of year after all.

Hurrah for ceramics!

I have been running chronically low on miniature supplies, thus the lack of new and exciting things in either my Artfire or Etsy shop. I decided to get organised and get some ceramic plates ordered well in time for the (optimistically) anticipated Christmas rush. So hopefully there will be tea sets and plates of fish supper and roast turkey to follow in the near future.

In the meantime, here are some pretty pictures of ones I've already made. I love making plated food. There is something so cute about little plates of food all lined up!

Front Page of Artfire!

I'm on the front page of Artfire! Hurrah! No idea if it will lead to any more sales, but it sure did stroke my ego. Here is a screenshot so I know I didn't imagine it.

Polymer Clay Workshop - Fruit Canes

I'm doing a polymer clay workshop at Jam Jar Beads in Sheffield. We'll be learning how to make our own fruit cane beads. That could be lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, or whatever snazzy colour combinations you fancy. If you're around Sheffield on October 1st and you fancy coming along, get in touch with the lovely Yvonne.

Mmmmm sammiches

A cute little sandwich prep board for a lucky 12th scale doll somewhere. Everything you need to make cheese, tomato and onion sandwiches, as long as you are no more than about 6 inches tall.

I'm pleased with the teeny tomato and onion slices.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

It's a bank holiday weekend at the moment in the UK, so as is traditional on such days, it's pouring with rain. But that needn't stop your dolls in indulging in some frozen treats! Here is my latest 12th scale dollhouse miniature offering.

I've made myself hungry! There are a few more slightly different but not quite the same ice cream sundaes available in my Artfire shop.

Reminders of my childhood

Do you remember dolly mix from your childhood? Does this lovely sweet exist outside of the UK? I have no idea, but I went on a dolly mix making spree last week, and this bracelet is one of the pieces I ended up with. I'm pretty pleased with the colour-match I was able to achieve. I also made lots and lots of beads, which are available at Jam Jar Beads.

Pink cupcakes

I went on a pink cupcake-making rampage at the weekend, and this was the result. I don't know what came over me! Anyway, if you like pink, sweet, cupcake-inspired jewelry, there are lots on off at my artfire shop, and they're all zero calories. Hurrah!

A small step towards your 5 a day

It only takes a few small steps to getting your five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, and now that's true for your dolls too! Here are some teeny tiny apples and bananas for your 12th scale dollhouse.

Featured Miniaturist: The Twelfth Dimension

This week I am featuring the work of miniaturist The Twelfth Dimension. She specialises in creating toys and accessories for your dollhouse with a vintage look and feel. The bakelite-look clocks are pretty cool, but her wooden toys are my favourites:
You can check out more of her work at her Artfire shop, as well as general miniature musings in her blog.

Artifire Collection!

I made a cute, pink collection on Artfire featuring lots of talented miniature artists. This, coming from the lady who refused to wear pink as a child because it was a girl's colour and I never did like to be pigeon-holed. I've become a lot less anti-pink in my old age (but you'll still probably never catch me in a pink dress).
