Exciting News!

My mini food jewellery is now available to buy at Jam Jar Beads, on Leopold Street, Sheffield, UK. If you are in the vicinity (it's right next to the High Street), go and check it out.

Jam Jar Beads is primarily a beading supply shop, with lots of cute and interesting little beads and findings. There is also a showcase featuring some lovely work by local Sheffield artisans, including *blush* Little Time Wasters! You can check out Jam Jar Beads at The shop also runs workshops and parties so

if you're nearby, I fully recommend checking it out.

Many Firsts

This 12th scale set is my first attempt at salmon and at asparagus, and overall I am pleased at how it turned out.

I'm still too chicken to try a proper salmon steak or whole fish, but it's a step in the right direction!

More Mini Wearables

I went on a mini jewellery rampage yesterday. It's not dollhouse miniatures, but it's still cute!
Fruit tart ring
Leek Dangly Earrings - pity this doesn't count as one of you 5 a dayKiwi, Lime and Blackcurrant Tart Pendant......and Matching EarringsAnd my favourite creation, a charm barcelet covered in 12th scale cupcakes!

These are all available in my Etsy shop, or will be in the next week, when I get round to listing them. Hopefully someone will enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoyed making them.

International Etsy

I'm really pleased Etsy has started to take notice of its international buyers and sellers through blogs and forums etc. Partly it's because I get to practice my french and german on something that's actually interesting to read, but also it's just nice to be noticed from the other side of the pond.

I wonder if we'll ever get currency converters on Etsy? I don't really see the need for them (how hard is it to look up the £/$ conversion rates?) but it's something a lot of international sellers are asking for. What do you think?

Making Canes

Today I spent a large amount of time making lemon and lime canes.

I think they turned out ok. They each measure around 4 to 5 mm across. I've still got loads of cane left to slice up, but my hands are tired so that's enough for today. I think there will soon be lots of citrus flavoured tarts appearing in my Etsy shop!

Some summer treats

It's been hot hot hot here in the UK this week. So to help keep you dolls cool, here are some miniature summer dishes.

Green Egg Salad

Strawberry Blancmange
Donut Selection - OK so I know donuts are not strictly speaking summer food, but do we really need an excuse to indulge in these goodies?
Hopefully the weather will cool down just a little so I can get back to my fimo without it turning too pliable in the heat. But of course next week I will surely be complaining when it's cold and raining again. There's no pleasing some people...
